Kitada grabs two-stroke lead

NAGAOKA, Niigata Pref. (Kyodo) Rui Kitada moved into a two-shot lead over up-and-coming Erina Hara with a 4-under 68 in the second round of the Yonex Ladies on Saturday. A four-time winner on the Japan LPGA tour, Kitada carded five birdies and a bogey to get to 6-under 138 at Yonex Country Club in Niigata Prefecture in an effort to earn her first win since coming out of a two-year slump to win the Itoen Ladies last November. FUKUSHIMA — A doctor was acquitted Wednesday over the death of a 29-year-old woman during a Caesarean section operation at a hospital in Fukushima Prefecture in 2004.
